Just right now when trying to connect to my local server, the operation of joining the server froze at "Joining Game". Tried reconnecting various times, although with no avail. So, I tried to kill the server and even that wouldn't work, had to use kill -7.

I have a few questions regarding this issue. Hope that someone could answer them for me:
What exactly is a bus error?
What can be causing it?
Is it some sort of segfault?
How can one avoid these type of errors?
