Game doesn't even start with 0.3c
#1

Hello people.

My friend has a problem with SAMP, Which I will describe very well. I wish someone could help me.

1) SA-MP version.
-0.3c

2) Windows version.
-Windows XP 32Bit

3) Video card type.
-ATI Radeon 4870 HD

3) IP:Port (if any) of the server you are trying to play on.
-Every server

4) If you are crashing, paste the crash report in your post and say when the crash occurs.
-Not applicable

5) If you are crashing loading SA-MP, please say whether GTA:SA single player works (test it).
-Single player works fine.

6) Do you have any other GTA:SA mods installed? e.g. new vehicles.
-Nope. Fresh install.

We we're playing 0.3b just fine the other night then the server we play (CrazyBob CnR) restarts. We notice that it has updated to 0.3c.

So all of my friends and myself download it. We start playing it until one of my friend says "My game won't start."

We've been trying to fix this for two consecutive days.
What happens is that when he chooses a server and he connects, the process GTA_SA.exe opens then automatically closes.
No errors, No black screens, Nothing. At all.

He tried reinstalling 0.3b afterwards and the game started like a charm, But he couldn't play since all servers updated.

We tried :
Reinstalling SA-MP
Reinstalling the game (About 8 times, Do not suggest this.)
Trying every compatibility mode
Using the downgrade patch
Deleting the GTASA.set file
And more stuff I and him don't even remember.

He does not use any kinds of hacks that could alter the game's memory, San Andreas single-player works fine, SA-MP 0.3b too.

This is really starting to get on his nerves. (And on my nerves as well)

If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You didn't mention if mods have been installed... some mods (vehicle, ped, ENB, etc) could cause the game to not run correctly and cause it to close...

Pretty self explanatory, No mods have been installed, Not even SRT3. Clean, Fresh install.

EDIT :

Okay we tried more stuff and it still doesn't work.

We tried :
Copying and pasting the SA-MP files into another folder and launching it from there. It launched Single-Player but it never worked with Multiplayer, This is a known bug though.

We tried to copy back the SA-MP files in the Rockstar Games folder and leaving the new ones in the other folder, Launching it from there and connecting.

We tried disabling his anti-virus software. (Kaspersky)

Nothing worked.
Please, Someone, A dev or anyone that knows a fix, Help us!

What you mean change his in-game name? What would that have to do with anything?

EDIT: If you mean another account on Windows, We tried that too, And it did not work.

No... He meant to for your friend to make a new user account on his computer and see if that solves his problem.
