Okay since i installed the 0.3c RC7 client i wanted to go to a server that is version 0.3c RC6. Okay so i joined the server and it said:

The server didn't respond. Retrying.

Then i installed the 0.3c RC6 back and it worked.

The problem is that 0.3c RC7 can't connect to older versions.

Well, I think is not a problem. It supposed to be like that (client and server must have the same version).

I thought to have it as well when connecting from RC5 to RC6 (Or vice versa), best chance is to downgrade it again or wait for the final release.

Hmm no? If you got RC7 you also need to connect to a server which uses RC7. I haven't read anywhere that the newer versions should be able to connect to older versions. Then we should be able to enter 0.3b with 0.3c installed? Nah. You just need to have the same client as the server you're joining.

It's not a BUG. It is intentionally and MEANT to be that way.
The Client and the Server MUST be the same version to function to 100% with eachother.

It's like trying to connect to a CS 1.6 server with CS Source, or connecting to a Half Life 1 server with Half Life 2,
It is not MEANT to work and It's INTENTIONALLY made to not work.

Oh my, how dumb can people get, really...
