Hey,

Was just wondering, what type of ping players in the U.S (central region) get roughly to the Netherlands? Would it exceed 150?

compared to the ping from germany to canada is pending between 120 and 180, i would say: yes. the main connection between america and europe eats maybe 100 ms, my ping to the netherlands is about 10-40. i would suggest to raise your maxping to 200 (if its that what you want to know ^^)

you cannot guess ping, because there are so many variables.

players hardware
server hardware
players internet speed
server internet speed
server load/traffic
general internet traffic

I suggest you use: http://www.speedtest.net/

Then select a location, and it will give you a ping, though this isnt the same for all computers and servers etc.. and what hal said is completely right.

To the best of my knowledge, I get around 100 - 150. My high-speed internet connection is really just an average-speed internet connection, so my facts may be a little off. I do own a total of 5 computers, usually their all on and doing something online. The occasional home-server download as well hurts the speed for some reason. Although, I think any ping below 200 is fine.
