Apple spends 75million on cases.

Instead of fixing all of the broken iPhones, Steve Jobs has devised on a plan in spending 75million dollars on giving its users free cases to cover up a users fingers or hand which make an electrical connection between the phones two external antennas.
The problems with the new iPhones has caused a great affect on Apples shares to drop by a whole 8 percent this equates (according to the media) to a $6billion loss.

Good job Mr. Jobs.

I dont think its an stupid move, what you would do then? Just let the iPhone 4 how it is? Not much would buy it anymore. Anyway, idk why they all talk about apple, other phones have the same problem.

I would make a fix for it, recall everyones iPhone, fix it and return it back to them.

Toyota had a faulty brake, and they did exactly that.

I have one of the phones on that list, and I just tested it myself. It dropped by one bar in a matter of 2 minutes. The iPhone 4 drops all its bars pretty quickly

RIM's CEO sums up the situation quite nicely.

Quote:

Apple's attempt to draw RIM into Apple's self-made debacle is unacceptable. Apple's claims about RIM products appear to be deliberate attempts to distort the public's understanding of an antenna design issue and to deflect attention from Apple's difficult situation. RIM is a global leader in antenna design and has been successfully designing industry-leading wireless data products with efficient and effective radio performance for over 20 years. During that time, RIM has avoided designs like the one Apple used in the iPhone 4 and instead has used innovative designs which reduce the risk for dropped calls, especially in areas of lower coverage. One thing is for certain, RIM's customers don't need to use a case for their BlackBerry smartphone to maintain proper connectivity. Apple clearly made certain design decisions and it should take responsibility for these decisions rather than trying to draw RIM and others into a situation that relates specifically to Apple.

I don't understand why everyone is against Apple Inc. I love their products, especially Mac's! Sure, they made a dumb move on this, but I think they should have thought about this before they created the design.
