What can i upgrade?
#1

Computer Specifications
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.88GHZ
Graphics: nVidia GeForce 9500GT 512MB GDDR3 HDMI
RAM: 2GB RAM

Question
On games like NFS Shift and Just Cause 2 they run farely well
But when i film videos using fraps or broadcast on xfire it lags quite a bit
My question is what would i need to upgrade to either reduce or get rid of this lag

We need a price range!!

Oh wait, you asked what you should upgrade, not what products. Anyways, I would say GPU.

I should be a product advisor, already been helping someone buy something tonight...

VGA. 9500gt is sh*t.
edit: WeeDarr, i didn't know that you can change gpu (Graphics processing unit) without changing VGA (Videocard or Video Graphic Array).

i would recommend this:

Cpu: intel i7 is pretty good!
Gpu:nvidia geforce 9800 gtx2 (1gb) = (1024mb) :P (the price is quite low)
RAM: 6gb ram (2x3gb DRR3)(i would suggest kingston)

I7 and 9800gtx?? If you're getting i7, go for GTX295 or GTX280.

Tbh ati owns nvidia today, so if you wana be future proof, get an ati card.
And video card memory has absolutely no impact on performance, unless you have a 64mb.
And why upgrade in the first place ? Your FSB would probably bottleneck the whole system up, judging by the graphic card

Sorry im a new to computer type stuff, what is FSB?
Also like to point out im on a tight budget of Ј100,
Possibly more, Im not too sure yet

Even though I have a pretty good system, if I start to record with Fraps my FPS drops to about 8, and while gaming normally it is 80. I have no idea what is going on and I am not fixing it. I can't seem to bother anymore. I am just playing my games.

Reason I posted this? Just to mention the fraps part.

If you want to increase fraps performance you need a better cpu, or really its dependent on the system. I have a C2D aswell and I run anything on top settings fine, fraps drops that to like 10fps however. Try checking your system resource usage while running fraps in a game and while not running fraps, if you find theres a cpu spike (most likely) then upgrade your cpu or overclock it, else upgrade your graphics.

I wouldn't say its ram, unless your using 95% before fraps.
