Microsoft bug (High CPU Usage)
#1

Hello,
I woke up today and went to my computer, like I do daily, I was finishing a project for school. I opened up Microsoft Word 2010, and My whole computer started lagging like hell. I thought that it was the same problem I had back in Vista where I would always get a random lag. I restarted the server and everything seemed fine again. I re-opened the program and started lagging like hell again. I tried "trouble-shooting" and found out..

What could be the problem?
It cannot be Memory leak.

office should use a lot, still depends what cpu you have. If you have single core cpu it should eat it all but if core2duo it should be around 30%

Touchy,
Nope and Nope. If Flight Simulator X and GTA IV run fine, then Microsoft Office should run just fine.

Hell, even with the "faster performance fix" it doesn't fix the bug. I searched ******, since it is my freind, and found a whole page with the same issue, none with answers.

Well your running Windows 7 with 1024mb of ram and a single core cpu, thats where my reasoning came from.
to my experience the new versions of windows office are always laggy until they get patched, i guess reinstalling it, playing around with compatibility, process priority, etc might fix it, or you could just downgrade all together
I have 2007 and it runs fine even on a legacy pc (1.6ghz / 768 mb ram)

Sorry but i dont know much more than that on the topic ^-^

This makes sense. I was running Windows 7 Ultimate on 1 GB Ram, single core, and it sucked! Now, I have 2 GB's and a Dual Core CPU and it is fine now...
