hey all im having some (alot of lag) with my server i think its my computer idk so my server haves 700 around Kb and haves a capacity of 50 slots but when im playing (in lan) it lags to the other computer

The computer specs (Its one LapTop)

Processor Intel T3400

4 Gb Ram

320 Gb

Nvidia 9300M GS (256 MB)

so if it isnt enought plz say

There will always be alot more lag when you are playing on the computer that is hosting it because it will be focused on running your game more rather than your server. Whats the speed in Ghz for that processor?

That is a good CPU for 50 players. But its all down to your "upstream" to the other players. You need to wipe a clean install of Windows XP or Windows Server onto it, and only dedicate it for server use, and not personal use. Also, the most inportant thing is as I said before, the upload speeds you have.

You need at least 4Mbps to run a 50 slot server. And thats "upstream" not "downstream." You also can't have any other connections connected to that line and use it, becuase it will effect the upstream alot.

So the 50 slot idea won't work, perhaps 25 will though.

Running a different operating system (or a more expensive variant of Windows) won't help you here. As others have said, it's likely that your upstream bandwidth isn't large enough to support all players.

And all other players are on the LAN? Do you still experience this if you use one of the base gamemodes (e.g LVDM)?

we tried only me and my brother with my gamemod but this is sometimes slow and one time slow the server freezes for him and he gets disconnected

Maybe because your internet is not fast enough, or your brother gets disconnected because you are on the same networkЯ

1 GB or sometimes 100 MB
