i'm not a pro with linux, but i know what i havve to do to run as samp server on it.
But my simple question: run a linux sa-mp 0.3 Server with Ubuntu?

Okay look what you are going to do is follow the Guide on the wiki after you download untar and everything do

then you do

I use linux too , in the first time i was using it i used to get a File not found error ...
If you get this i recommend you do what i did
ask your server provider to format your server then install xampp
