What's better for running a SA-MP server? Give reasons.

If you are running on a VPS then Windows takes more performance, if you are using a regular SAMP host, then it doesent really matter to you.
For some, Windows is easier to manage, for some Linux is... Its mostly what you prefer yourself.

If you have experience with linux, i would recommend you linux. Anyone who can use a computer running windows will have no problem using a vps running windows(interference is same). However, with linux vps will give you SSH access(a command line interference), you need to learn to use it.

They both are equal and powerful.

Most people prefer to use windows rather linux. Windows VPS is comfortable for Windows 7 or which ever window you are using.

Linux is also good, but you need to install OGP and stuff on that to make a proper working server which provides SQL and all. If you need help in installing, ping me up here. I will surely help you.

OGP is just cancer, using SSH is quite better. If you don't know how to upload files then you can actually use Filezilla and login to the root account as SFTP. For SQL and stuff you can install mysql server and phpmyadmin and the other required libraries. You don't need a whole panel for a server or two, it's needed for hosting multiple servers owned by multiple people not just yourself.

OT: Linux is quite better for me at least, I tried both and Linux is pretty much better, faster and doesn't consume performance as much as Windows.

Simple Windows is more user friendly and linux requires some knowledge like using the commands to install everything tho acquiring this knowledge isn't that hard.

Linux, it's fast, free and doesn't use much resources.

Also the fact that installing packages/software on Linux is much easier then on Windows.

BlackBank already mentioned every benefit of it, except that the rent itself also becomes cheaper.

imo, you need to be a retard to pay more for twice slower os than linux just for "ease of use", moreover you're going to have much easier life learning Linux, more experience and understanding of your own machine.
Not to mention that this can surely help if you ever consider to work as server administrator.
