I'm pretty sure its DDoS: Distributed Denial of Service I think it is. I could be wrong though?

He is correct it is a DoS not a DDos. There isn't much you can do to block the attack besides block it through the IP if you are lucky and they are not switching ips all the time.

they can simple use a proxy server to DoS, so there is no way to prevent a advanced DoD attack.

There is nothing much you can do.
Only get the IP and ban it,but for sure,he can always use proxy or other tool to hide his IP.

firstly im pretty sure its dos because ddos is more advanced and the people who dos samp server are skiddies, secondly i dont think they would be using a proxy because if they were they would have to own a private proxy because no one in their right mind would make a proxy server and let anyone use it to attack random servers

View your firewall logs and try review the incoming data, like x-serverz tend to rangeban IPs that flood past the firewall. If you're not the 'web master' then I suggest that you contact your host and/or transfer to a host that protects you a little more.

in regards to ddos attacks, if the attacker comes from say the middle east somewhere, if i were to enter the attackers ip address in the samp.ban so it said something like "250.250.***.***" would that be efficient to block the area where he comes from?
