Large stream memory usage
#1

Hi. I recently modified my game up and after playing for a certain amount of time, the memory being used begins to become crazy.

I'm using some mods, mostly Mod Loader and a bunch of graphic mods(2dfx, imfx, limit adjuster) but nothing really that I can think of that might be causing this much memory usage. In-game F5 when the memory is this high:

Almost ten minutes after:

The stream memory is pretty high, any idea how I can make it go down? I'm not using that many texture mods, I'm mostly just using .asi mods.

Clearly you are using too many mods, as it seems your game is storing a lot of memory, there so many reasons for this. Way too many to even list here.

Your GPU ( if you have one ) will handle the streaming memory, however if you have mods constantly writing and reading from ram, your going to get a lot of usage from it.

Try uninstalling heavy duty mods.

Turns out it was modloader itself using so much memory. What you said gave me the idea that maybe it was because the mod refresh and logging options were enabled (even though I thought I had most of them disabled). I turned them off and the memory usage seems to be back to 600~ at the most. Thanks a lot!

512Mb is the total memory allowed to be used (he was using ~482Mb which is abnormally high)

SAMP seems to allow about 1/8 of your total RAM for streaming

Anyway, good to see its solved
