That's one of the reasons why ****** index https (and rank higher) more often then http site nowadays + https is much safer/encrypted.

Oh, that makes sense now, completely forgot about that.. clearing cache before each test changed the results but still amazing. Its 24secs for http and around 12 for https

Http/2 is fast, yep, but SSL/TLS are intensive tasks for the server and clients, and increase the network traffic.
So https is actually slower (and doesnt always use http/2 unless you set it up to do so)
Encryption is good, but you shouldnt overuse it. If you want faster website loading and do not handle sensitive data, just set up your webserver to use http/2, but you dont need forcefully encrypt every single bit of irrelevant data.

that move was only made to encourage more webmasters to implement ssl, in return for increasing the pagerank score by a not-so-heavy percentage
