The best of all, Linux Bash for Windows! Can build Linux binaries without having to restart the PC finnaly (hopefully they will work with SAMP SDK)!

And cortana cant be turned off anymore, practically making it listen all the time. Having a linux console is nice, but not at this price. Ill rather stick with win 7 and use my server for all kinds of linux demands.

Windows Insider here. It can be turned off Just disable the options in Settings -> Privacy and if you will press on microphone button near Cortana it will ask you for permissions (and you have few options in its settings). I have it disabled now.

Don't sign up for Cortana and you will never have to disable, you will still be able to search files on the device and on the Internet.

And because microsoft respects user privacy that much, they of course wont collect any data when the option is disabled.

Yes, you can. The replacement is only in the name and the appearance. This is just like everyone was speculating when Windows 10 was released and said "Windows Update cannot be turned off anymore" and the solution was found in Services.msc. Just don't sign up with a Microsoft account as your Administrative Account, stay with a local account.

Okay, Ive relied on incomplete information then. It doesnt change my opinion about win 10 though, its still a incredible data-hungry os.

I didn't get the update yet. Honestly I couldn't care less about Cortana.
It's not available in my country anyway .

Use Media Creation Tool if you want to do it faster.
