Wow, it was a paid product, glad to know that it's now free!
You have to see their conditions before downloading and start working on serious project that might end up into marketing (recommended).

Good luck buddies!

I wonder how much memory does it take to store those details. I've seen recently a flying simulator with amazing graphics, but this overtakes it.

An old example.

There is one engine that overtakes the graphics of Unreal Engine and any other engine, called Euclideon.

The reason how they achieved such a detailed graphics, is because they use machine to scan and capture the area and the texture of it, turning it into 3d graphics later.
Enabling to give much more detailed texture on 3d models.
It isn't perfect, as you can see on the video it has blurred text and parts, but this I believe isn't an issue for a 3d modeler.

However, its of course not free, so if you're going to make a game, better stick with Unreal Engine or Unity.
(or even CryEngine if you have some bucks to spend each month)

"Once you ship your game or application, you pay Epic 5% of gross revenue after the first $3,000 per product per calendar quarter."

It's not really that bad. The engine itself is user friendly and worth the money. They have a bunch of features in the engine that really make it worth it if you do actually make that kind of money. Unity for me is more lightweight and easier to use as it's C# and general use is different. I will say though, Unreal Engine is nice and you should give it a shot if you haven't (if you're interested in making games of course lol).
