******* Red. Worth paying for?

So many of us have heard of ******* Red by now, and if you haven't see the video below.

Their three main premium features are a bit ridiculous. I just want to point out that all three of these features are already possible.

Ad-Free? Easy as downloading Ad-Block Plus, whether you're on PC or Android [root needed].
Background Play? Well that's obviously easy on PC, and with a rooted android you can easily emulate it being in the foreground. The battery cost of running two foreground apps is pretty high though (not enough to phase me).
Download for later? Yes, that too, even after years of controversy.

Yet, it's ******... I'll most likely be paying for it anyways...

Too expensive. I think they'd reach a lot more people if they made it like $1 a month instead of $10. I despise subscription services because the amount you pay is the same for everyone regardless of what is actually consumed. Someone who no-lifes 12 hours a day pays the same amount as someone who watches 1 hour a day.

It won't work out the way they expect.
And they can't pull out AdBlock from Chrome either, because people will switch to Firefox or Opera.
If you only use ******* with a tablet or phone, then I guess there's a reason for you to pay (not sure if strong enough).
Otherwise, Adblock rules the great sea.

I don't see the appeal to be honest. And coming from a company as large and innovative as ******, I expected more.

Really? Ah come on.
Well yeah adblock is there for the people.

I wouldn't buy it. I don't need those paid feature so I'm ok with the free/regular version.

******* is so successful because it's free. Paying for some extra pretty useless functions is not worth it.

Well, to be fair, I'm always using ****** Play Music because I like it's way of handling local files better than Spotify's, and because of that I get ******* Red for free. (Buy one, get the other as well)

I'm not really going for it because of the extra content, but maybe they'll positively surprise me with the music features.

This is my opinion.

You buy it and suddenly it puts a fake cock in your mouth

Meh, only real reason I use it is for music, all this backgrounding stuff and offline stuff. If you have unlimitied data you can use firetube on android or just pay for spotify and you can use it on all devices an in our german whip

also usa? :c

If it would allow porns I surely would pay, but seeing as it doesn't, eeeeeeeeh I prefer the old and good ***...

Nope. Not paying for it.

although there are alternatives to all of their features (offline play, music play, ad-free and more), that's all to keep them alive, but on the other hand, the price that is being asked is a freakin 10$, which is way too much for an ad-free view and a few poor features.
I'd support them if it was 1$ per month (who minds it ...), but with 10$ per month I can buy myself new games on Steam or something more worth it.

Someone messaged me on Skype, saying that they didn't believe it was possible when I said this (in the main post):

For anyone else who doesn't believe it's possible, YES IT IS FUCKING POSSIBLE. There's this thing you can get for rooted phones, it's called Xposed. Look it up.

Here are a few links to prove what I said in case anyone else wants to put a word on it.

Ad-Free?
Background Play?
Download for later?

Xposed also has adblocking modules for *******, but I prefer AdBlock Plus because I've been using it for years in Chrome.

Rooting a phone sounds like too much of a head ache, if you ask me.
But yet again, I don't use ******* to listen do music, unless my MP3 player runs out of battery.

Rooting a phone is as easy as installing a single app and touching a single button in that app. That's it.
People tend to over complicate the process.
