Keep crashing in grove street
#1

So I have been trying to play a server that I have been playing for a long time and recently I have been having an issue with crashing around the grove street/ganton area. I have joined other servers, which are the exact same server but different IP and don't have the issue on there, I have spoken with the server owner and he doesn't know how to help with this issue, I am just wondering if you guys could help. I have not got a crash report as the game just freezes around the area and I have to close GTA from the Task manager and from there it just says gtasa.exe has stopped working. I have uninstalled and reistalled it and still having the problem, I don't play with any mods neither.
Here is a video about it on s3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o97G...ature=*********
And as a screenshot in the same area on s1

Anyone know why this is happening? I had a few days without crashes, but now it's started again

There are so many reasons that was stated:
- If you have any car mod, graphic mod or skin mod it will freeze or lag the game.
- Try to install a stream memory fix and go to Grove Street.

Just saying, that video, he uses /q to quit, so it's not the same.

That server is HIGHLY scripted. I'd say something is affecting you from the scripting/mapping side, not so much the client side.

Yeah, in the video, it didn't seem to happen, but as you can see the CPU goes up too 100, but in the other server, which is the same, but different IP and has more players, I am not effected by it. I don't use mods or anything in the game and I play with low settings.

They're not the same, yet they are the same server, and show that the server, has a lot of things in it.

I'm really leaning towards the server making you have an issue.

If anything, the only thing I can suggest, is what was suggested before, which is the stream memory fix, if that is still needed.

I don't see how that would help? isn't it designed to so that the textures load? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9mQ...ature=********* I got myself crashing on video this time.

EDIT: I tried the stream memory fix, but it didn't work.

Your video shows it's not just Grove. Where it crashed then, was so far out from Grove that nothing would've streamed in from there.

Also, unless it happens on other servers, chances are the issue is with the server.

I've messaged the owner and he said he cannot help me without a crash report...

You need to fully start over with the client, and the game.

Uninstall the game, wipe the settings, delete the folder the game was in, re-install.

You HAVE to delete the folder as the compatibility settings you have should be wiped as well, and in some cases windows holds "rights" on certain files and keeps them from being deleted, or replaced.

That is to have a clean test. Something, on that server, at that place, in that time, is making you crash. It could even be a defrag issue.
