Hello there. So, I am going to college therefore I decided its high time to buy a laptop. I picked the "Lenovo IdeaPad Y580". I will use it for an year and then buy a better one. Here are the specs:

Lenovo IdeaPad Y580 15,6
CPU - i7 - 3630QM CPU 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz
RAM - 8GB (DDR3)
HDD : 1000 GB
Video Card : NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX660M 2GB

I know it will run, SAMP, LoL, etc, but I am curious, If its going to run GTA V on medium with 30-40 FPS?

So, I would like to hear some opinions about it, If possible. Thanks.

Yes it would easily run GTA V on high fps if you kept everything to low / med settings.

Yeah, overall it will run it. But what do you guys think about the laptop? Its a second hand one and I will pay 300 euro for it.

The laptop is ideal for a lot of things and it is a fact that it is about 2-3 times better than the majority of the members' PCs here.

GTX 660m isnt GTX 660

If you can get the laptop for 300 bucks then go for it. It will probs run V on low-med settings depending on the resolution. Maybe med+ if 1336x768

Laptops, aren't for gaming... No matter what the SALES MATERIAL says... They only want the sale, and you can't upgrade **** all in it...


Buy a PC, and simply make it a small enough box that it's easy to transport... Then you can study on your laptop, and play games on your PC, without having anything go wrong on your important machine (Laptop).

Are you saying my water-cooled asus® ROG™ G752© gaming laptop isn't suitable for gaming?
