i am just wondering if sa-mp is ever going to lose its players? do you think it will stay the best online GTA game forever?

Well considering GTA V has a SA-MP alike mod being developed for it, I guess SA-MP may actually lose popularity.

And the best part is that's not the only group making a multiplayer for GTA V, I've seen about 4 other projects. Let's just see which one comes out first and becomes more popular.
Although, considering most samp players don't have a powerful enough PC to run GTA 5, I don't think we will actually see a drastic decrease of players when one those mods come out.

I don't think that mod will affect SA-MP at all. As of right now, their forums look like shit. Plus, a large majority of SA-MP is poor people that can't afford a better game, or better yet a good PC to play the better games.

Not everyone has the budget to waste on a gaming pc, samp is a user friendly mod that allows you to interact with other players and have fun, even if the GTA V multiplayer mod will be released it won't have a lot of the capabilities and features that samp has, it will constantly require bug fixes and optimization so the players will be able to enjoy the game, I don't believe that samp will fail anytime soon it will take a few years.
P.S. Do your research there have been many topics like this discussed and you are creating another useless thread instead of talking about the possibility of samp failing why won't you enjoy it for the time being so you won't regret the fun that you could had while it was still running.

Let me be on the opposite side, a good and decent GTA V multiplayer with a language like Pawn could really effect the population here. Though it's not only GTA V but many other interesting games.
I don't know how you guys estimate the budget of majority of members on forums!

Nobody estimated the budget of members on the
forum, but on SA-MP in general. And we can estimate their budget because we know most samp players are from third world countries.

San Andreas Multiplayer is eventually gonna die, you can't deny that but I don't think it was die anytime soon. SA-MP is a place for me where I can escape reality, I've met many people who I consider actual friends, and I've had great 'childhood' memories, I started playing SA-MP when I was 10 years old and I still play it to this day. It's addicting, it really is.
But to stay on topic; SA-MP is losing people because people are moving on, eventually I will move on but I still find myself every other day checking the forum so I can see what is going on. You have to face reality, nothing lasts forever.
