Alright,

So basically I worked my ass off on a San Andreas Roleplay leaked gamemode (SA-RP R112 it's the old version not the new leaked one i think it's the first leak of SARP it's not with much features almost bare godfather and it got bugs)

I worked very hard for months or even years, I was a newbie and didn't download a bare godfather gamemode from here instead I used that leaked version. The problem is that after the hard work and new systems added (I think you can hardly notice that it's SARP or some shit) I sold the gamemode to someone for a good price (high I mean it), after months I regret however when I sold the gamemode I put the credits on comments (like name of developers and stuff) I regret that I used the leaked version so I PMed one of the owners in SARP (waiting for response) about permission of using it since there's another leak with newer version etc. didn't get any message yet (I sent a message in Skype too) I sent a message also to the guy that I sold the gamemode to, I think he's inactive in both ******** and Skype and I don't know how I can reach him.. However I dropped a message at Skype to him.

What I did is illegal? Please guys tell me no trolls take this as much serious as you can, I really worked hard and I think more than 30k lines were added to the gamemode! (From a rusty old to gold that's what I call it!)

Read before you post, I sold it and I don't want the gamemode back, I just feel frustrated about this that I based it off an old buggy SARP edit and worked my ass off and then sold it, I don't remember telling him that it's a SARP edit though I put credits in the .pwn file as comments, so am I alright and I shouldn't give him the money back or not?!

Well at this point no one really cares if it's leaked or not if it was THAT early. To be honest, SA-RP uses the GF script itself; if it was that early of a leak it was probably more GF than what SA-RP actually scripted.

How do you think the original developers feel? I would love to take back my contributions to the SARP script and see some terribly buggy code by Smo in there instead (although my contributions are probably about 30 lines max). Or my thousands of lines from the NGRP script, but I can't. All the hard work we put in to it (and the shit we had to deal with from the community owners) and it's all over the web, for kids like you to spend a few minutes on and then claim you've spent a lifetime on it.

Build a bridge. Get over it.

I hope someone leaks your script online, because then you'll at least have a valid reason to be slightly whiney.

Calm down Calgon, I am going to send you the link already to know what version I am talking about.

* in this thread I didn't say that the code is completely mine, I even commented credits in .pwn file

I can show you the gamemode sometime and you judge yourself (don't look at total posts of this account I have another one I used to be a newbie when I started this project to prove I feel bad about this I PMed Smo himself)

I can even say that the current version I have which was based off SARP r112 is better than the CURRENT sarp version in my opinion.

What would you think if someone took your gamemode, changed a bit, and then made good money with it?
It doesnt really matter if its illegal or not, its a matter of moral. You didnt write the whole code, but used something as base that isnt yours, and was never meant for resale.

The sale cant be undone, you can only try to restore your karma as good as possible. Try to contact other guys of the original dev team. Tell them your story, excuse for what youve done, and offer them to share the profit with them. The rest is for them to deicde. Thats probably the fairest thing you could do at this point.

10/10 the guy you sold the gamemode off to would edit the .pwn and remove the credits himself to make the script look like his own legit work
