I'm using kgb hosting, and this morning at 05:00 they are changed my server version into 0.3.7 from 0.3z. In 10:00 I was join on server and there are not any object. I /rcon gmx him but still problem. Sry for bad english

If anythings flawed it's the host. The server is not what lets in vulnerabilities. The server can fend for itself using plugins and such, but if the host didn't have security flaws the server wouldn't have those problems. That has nothing to do with this guys problem though.

1. You should not let a host mess with YOUR files at all, they should not be allowed to edit ANYTHING. They should not be able to FORCE any kind of updates without your will. Hell, they could've fucked up your maps somehow.
2. DETAILS! What streamer version? What OS (Windows Server XX.XX XXXX, Linux Debian, Linux CentOS, Linux Ubuntu, etc)? Details you're willing to share about your server specifically such as what plugins you are using (I believe the original YSF caused major problems with streamer in the past), anything.

The 'server full' attack was fixed in 0.3.7. Before then, if a server got attacked with that vulnerability (or one of the dozens of others fixed over the years) then the host would suffer.

I sort of agree with you that the host should just host the server and it should be up to the server owner to upgrade, but why on earth would you even WANT to run an old version? New versions bring features, bug fixes and most important, as previously mentioned, security fixes.

Actually people have already been attacked with the 'server full' attack in 0.3.7.

That's not the point at all. The point is that they have access to do such upgrades. They should not be allowed to touch your files at all.

Yeah kinda not really helping much besides as already stated you should recompile but yeah I'd get rid of that host if I were you. If they're going to force a update upon everyone they should at least give a good heads up warning, a attack vulnerability or not if they have a problem with a attack issue simply get rid of the client.
