Server not showing up on Internet list
#1

Goodday everyone.

I seem to have a bit of an problem.
I've got this server and normally I would run it and it would work perfectly fine.
Got my ports portforwarded and everything.

Yesterday I started having troubles and it didn't work anymore.
I couldn't see my server being online or giving any ping in my favourites and it didnt show up on the internet tab.

Now today I have fixed this problem but the only thing it doesn't do is showing up on internet list.
In favourites (with my public ip) it works perfectly fine.
But normally I can see people join within 2 minutes.
Now it doesn't do that and it doesnt show up on Internet list.

Do I need a specific port for the announce.exe to work? (Or whatever it is that it gets it into the Internet tab)

Please help,

Delano

Are you sure that you set announce and query from 0 to 1 in server.cfg?

Try to look for your server at: http://monitor.sacnr.com/
If it's there, that means it in in the internet tab too, but you only have to wait more while browsing for it, as there are a lot of servers there.

It isn't online there, I have had announce and query both to 1 in server.cfg.
Normally I would gain players in the server in within 2 minutes..

I sometimes wonder if people can even read when they suggest you to do something that you already said is done.

Anyways if everything is forwarded and everything was working fine it could possibly be maybe a firewall issue? The announce file sends your IP to the SAMP IP 95.211.169.43 so make sure that IP is whitelisted.

Also how are you checking if your server is on the internet list or not?

Sorry for the late response.
I have been very busy with my exams.

I was checking it from my own PC, My second PC and I have let my friend search for it as well.
The IP is whitelisted and I have tried to turn off both my firewalls (Windows Firewall and McAfee Internet Security Suite).
Also this happened when I upgraded from 0.3e to 0.3z because I still had the old version on my pc.
I tested my server on 0.3e and it worked and the day after I tried upgrading to 0.3z and it didn't show up anymore and I never had any users login to my server (Had it turned on for a full day.)

Did you possibly set lanmode to 1 via server configuration? Also a second IP to make sure is whitelisted is 95.211.169.44

Lanmode was on 1, have set it to 0 right now.
But why would it change?
Because the server configurations were never touched since the first time I started my server again.
It has only been changed when we were creating the server...

And it has worked before upgrading to 0.3z...
Started the server but still no sign of it being in the internet list...

No idea maybe you replaced the configuration by mistake. So now that lanmode is off though are other people able to join your public IP?
