[Tutorial] How to make SA-MP Home Server

Hey all,

This is a little tutorial on how to create SA:MP home server (Windows).

1. Download the lastest SA:MP server from official SA:MP page or from this link: www.sa-mp.com/downloads SA-MP 0.3z Windows Server

2. Unpack!

3. Open server.cfg with notepad!
It's in server.cfg:

4. Change the RCON password:

5. Save the file

6. Run samp-server.exe

7. Go to http://www.whatismyip.com/

8. Copy your IP

9. Open SA:MP client

10. Press 'Add server' button

11. Paste your IP and write after your IP: ':7777' (Example: 2.2.2.2:7777) and press 'Ok'

12. Select you server from list, connect and enjoy!

Would not work.
You can't use your public IP for local servers.
You need to use localhost.

localhost:7777

Free, but doesnt work for 2 reasons, it's public IP and not portforwarded

Internet i guess u need only to portforward.

The way he described it, this is for your own usage only. Therefore, you don't need to portforward your ports.
You have to portforward your ports the moment someone out of your LAN-connection wants to join.

As Stinged said, you don't need your WAN-ip to join your own local server, localhost or your LAN-IP would do the job.

You didn't portforwarded also this is useless because many people posted this, Search before post.
