server portforward problem

hi!, im making a home test server which others can connect.
I Added Inbound Rules on Firewall but the server doesnt work, it keeps "(Retrieving Info)".. Here What's I Putted on my router:

the WAN ip address is my public ip address

Let's take it from the first step..As you need to play with other players then you have to port forward it. Connect to your router settings (192.168.1.2 is mine) and goto to the port forward section. [MAKE SURE THAT YOUR PORT WHICH YOU OPEN IS THE SAME AS THE PORT IN THE SERVER.CFG].. After you port forward it turn your firewall off. Start "samp-server.exe" and visit whatismyip.com copy your ip and send it to your friends..!

REMEMBER: YOU HAVE TO USE "LOCALHOST : port" for you to connect..Let your friend connect with your ip..

can i use different ports? where do i get more ports?

and please, tell me if i did correct on the router port forward that i configured.

Sure..Open your server.cfg and change the "port" to whatever your want..Everyone uses 7777 so I recommend you to use it..Don't forget to port forward the port you use at server.cfg and share the port to with your friend (example your ip : port )
