Who makes more than 999 pictures in a year? Even if you got that much, just backup the old ones.

perhaps a better option would be to have it put the date in the first part of the file name... like:
2009-05-25-samp-999.png
then you could shoot up to a thousand pictures per day without running into a file naming issue.

it also would be nice to have screenshots blit to a buffer/s and have another thread deal with saving them so that there's no lag from screenshots.

I have a problem....I can't even FIND mine, and I've gone through C:/Documents/Rockstar Games/ (( Or whatever it's called )) and C:/Program Files/ Rockstar Games/ as well, and I can't find them

well no need,just replace the pics from san andreas file to another one and you'll be able to make another 999 pics =P
BTW:I think more than 999 will be necessary at least for me!
