Have you explored various types of map yet? A specular would make that chest look even nicer, if you apply the specular highs to the metal parts so they shine. And a normal map to get some extra detail without adding geometry. If you have photoshop, there's a handy tool from nVidia that can generate a normal-map from a regular texture (not sure if there's a similar thing for Gimp or Paint.NET, photoshop is quite pricey)

I'm still a noob when it comes to texturing part. I mostly enjoy modeling itself but I hate texturing so I'm not that good at it yet :P

I absolutely agree, it's overall ok, but could do with tweaking, change the back.

They all look great. The axe is the best of the three in my opinion; better than what I could do that's for sure.
