I've just had this thought crossing my mind, a game like SAMP for example. You can make your own scripts, maps and such.

But then with a own engine, a dev team that constantly brings in new weapons, cars, building models, tools to script and map for example.

I've always come across games like: San Andreas Multiplayer, Garry's Mod, Arma II RP. But those games didn't have the intention to be RPed on.

And I'm not saying this will ever be made or something like that, it's just a random thought after RPing in so many different games.

I think it'd attract a very mature audience, at least to the right servers. Which then update their own script, with new features and models that are provided by the devs.

And hey, you might think ": That's the dumbest thing I've ever read." But it's just crossing my mind.

Just imagine, instead of having to say "/do You'd see Clark holding a Glock17." You'd have an actual Glock17 model.
Instead of having a server saying ": We're technically based around New York ", you could make or edit a map, so it would look more like New York. without being limited to the same cars, weapons and skins.

Maybe there's a game or project based around this idea? If so, just link me up and I'd back that project up for sure.

(In short, you'd still have DM, stunt servers etc. But this time, the game would be made and updated for RP).

Why the abuse of much posts! about RP

It's nice on paper, but the fact is; not everyone likes to roleplay. It doesn't have as much a demand as other games do, so no one would invest the money into creating a game like this as it's a big risk. That's why RP games are usually modifications or added in features like, WoW Roleplay servers.

OT : I pretty much do like your idea and I wish it would happen one day even thought I highly doubt it, as making a whole new engine like GTA:SA wont be with an easy thing especially that Kalcor nearly works alone, it will take MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH time, however- that would be epic.

EDIT : Unless he builds the game on a already-made engine, I am not really familiar with full-games coding but I doubt it would be easy.

It actually might if its not for free, ATLEAST not that mature but better than the current state.


Notice that most of the games that you need to buy contain a better level of mature audience compared to the free to play games.
