Consumer: Ulead videostudio or Final cut if you own a mac.
Medium: Sony Vegas.
Professional: Premiere pro or Avid Mediacomposer

I'd have to say Sony Vegas since its the only editing software I could use. Not that hard to learn how to use it either.

In my opinion, Sony Vegas. I've tried it a couple times and it's great, a bit confusing at start - when you use it for the first time, but still it's great.
