Well it all depends on your computer. The higher your framerate(fps) is the less it will lag.
If your computer isn't the greatest you might suffer from additional lag if you have mods installed.
What are your system specs and what OS are you running?

I have a gaming PC but it all depends on your computer specs.
The FPSLimit doesn't set your FPS that's just setting the max it will go to.
The MultiCore allows MultiCore Rendering (I was told)
The PageSize is how many lines of chat you want to see
The AudioProxy I would leave this alone.

		Post your specs like so:
and for your settings they seem fine. Mine is 100 as mine can exceed it

What do you mean exactly when you ask if your settings are good? Good as in good performance, or just in general? We can't really say what settings are good for you it all depends on your computer.
Are you experiencing continuous lag?

Well you could switch the multicore line to 1 instead of 0 for starters, but I doubt it will make much difference.
Have you recently scanned your computer for viruses etc?
Windows XP service pack 2 is quite old and could use upgrading to be fair. That might be your main issue.
