SA:MP crashing after loadscreen
#1

OK, so I've just got back to playing after a long time. I installed GTA:SA, downpatched it to 1.0, installed the latest SA:MP client like I always do.

But when I try to join a server this pops up;

Quote:
SA:MP An exception occured

SA:MP has crashed. The error report has been generated below.

Using the 'Report Crash' button will submit a crash report
that will help us to fix this problem in future versions.

Game Version: EU 1.0
I couldn't find any solutions on these forums, I tried running the program as an admin, checking all different compabilities, reinstalling, no d3d9, no gta_sa.set, no cheats/hacks, no mods etc.

I've got Vista Ultimate 32-bit

What seems to be the problem, what should me do?

harr

EDIT: I can't even play Singleplayer now.

its a game crash, it happens to everyone.

Some of the Downgrade patches don't work with Vista.

You can download this one, try it, and if it doesn't work, wait for Technical Assistance

I dont think the problem is with samp because when this used to happen to me, GTA SA singleplayer was not working too, means that it was problem with the main gta, because samp is just an expansion of the gta singleplayer.

@Tiderman: I saw that your already downgraded to 1.0. If you have Mods, you have to uninstall them, because SA-MP doesn't support Mods.

@RICHGUY:
From what it sounds like, it's probably your installation. Are you using Mods? Mods aren't supported in SA-MP.
If its not that, then its probably a hardware problem.

Delete GTA_int from GTA SA user files
you will find it in Documents

I kind of had this problem but it didnt say all of that stuff, what happend to me was when i tried to connect to a server it would load up the SA-MP menu and then just crash. To solve this, try running the program in administrator. I am using Vista 32-bit so this should work

It will not load even under admin if the GTA_int is in user files....

EDIT: u might need to get rid of GTA_set file if u have not got the GTA_int
