There is always a reason for someone to -rep you, no matter what. Probably because they don't like your post or just generally don't like how you type and the formatting you use. Also, you'll probably get de-repped for this post, because you're complaining about a number on the internet. There are no luxuries in having a high number of rep, 5 rep point gets you access to the Advertisements, which is why rep was implemented, AFAIK.
