There should be news about other events in SAMP.
"12.08 - Super DeathMatch servers gets DDOSED by another bunch of little angry nerd faggits" etc.
If your away for some time it would be nice to read these aswell.

This would rather go on the servers homepage, or in some user-updated offtopic thread here (not sure about the advertisement factor of that). Samp itself isnt related to any specific server, so it wouldnt belong to the news.

Servers, all ways get ddosed normal by player who are banned but they is nothing you can do to really stop it, The best thing todo is just live with it or try and resolve the problem with the ddoser(not hacker)
If all you can do is ddos your not a hacker.

It would also give script kiddies more incentive to spend their parent's hard-earned money on renting a botnet, so that their attack would make "the news".
We give these morons enough public attention as it is. If nobody ever mentioned anything about being attacked, people wouldn't be attacked so much any more (since most do it for 'attention')

I think most worthwhile servers have their own news and updates on their own forums. It's probably fine as-is since people only really need to read the news for the servers that interest them.
