I load the gamemode, compile it etc, when I run it everything looks fine theres no errors. When I try to connect to the server through localhost it just says server not responding, it has done this with lots of scripts.

Make sure you've updated all your plugins, includes and make sure that you're running the correct server version. It's 0.3x right now, if you're using an old GM, most likely before the date of 31 Jan 2013, it will be on an earlier version so you need to update your server. Do that by downloading the newest version http://www.sa-mp.com/download.php and extracting it in your server folder directory. Then run it and see if it works.

If that doesn't work, post your server_log.txt here so we can see if there's some kind of error or something like that.
