Amd are classed as better for gaming since intel is designed for number crunching. I run full amd and iv never had any throuble plus amd u can over clock a lot easier then intel. I do run a intel laptop and it does lag on simple games like mc and samp

I have ALWAYS run Intel and NVIDIA. Every AMD product I have owned has ended up failing or not performing nearly as well as my Intel electronics.

Depends on your budget, Ati are cheaper and powerful, Nvidia are more expensive, how powerful? that depends on your whole PC set.
I heard Nvidia came out with best gpu in market right now, GTX Titan. that's probably best out there. Affordable of course.

Actually the best bang for buck that I've found on NVIDIA side was getting let's say 3xGTX 760, it simply CAN'T be beaten the price/performance ratio... It costs around 720 euros to get 3 of those cards and there's not a card in the world that would get the same performance even a TITAN would fall way way behind..
EDIT: Forgot to mention this is useless unless you go for resolutions like 5760x1080 (surround system)

Even running two 760's in SLI would beat a Titan- no doubt. That's why buying a Titan is just pointless. If you can run three 760's for the price of one Titan and get more performance than you'll probably ever need, there's just no sense to it.
