Hello, I have a friend that rented a linux CentOS 5 (64bit) VPS with no control panel & it would help if some one could explain how to host a San Andreas MultiPlayer server. I have a Dedicated Server and a VPS with same operating system & with Cpanel/WHM, And i know how to host the games with it. It's Crazy he din't get a control panel, I guess he din't read what he was getting.

To stop the server from running, type (I use PUTTY):

top
// check the ID for the samp03svr
// press q and type:
kill ID_NUMBER_HERE

To start the server, assuming the main folder is located to the root.

cd samp03
nohup ./samp03svr &

Since you say you have Cpanel/WHM i would take a look at this add-on
