Paypal says they are good to use because you keep your financial details hidden from places you buy from, and I have heard it is best to buy things directly with your debit card as little as possible to prevent this. What is so bad about companies knowing your debit card details over your paypal?

Don't most places already get your email when you buy from them?

Uh... Credit Card fraud, with your details they can clone your card. Plus many other things... Which are fairly obvious.

Sorry for sounding a bit dumb here, I haven't done much with my card online before. So alright I can understand now based on the fraud, but that would only be for untrusted sites right? If I am buying from amazon, ebay, or massive companies such as game, comet, new look, I would be safe?

Yes so long as it has a safety certificate and is a SECURE website. Honesty though most country's teach this in schools, if you are unsure about reasons as to why, consequences, or prevention... You should ****** it, for the safety of your financial accounts. A rule should be "If in doubt rule it out" which means if the site has a safety certificate but isn't https(http secure) don't use it find another source.
