If only they could dig into the game engine, change the graphics, add client-side scripting. Maybe what people like about SAMP is the simpleness and how it can run on virtually any machine.

I've been always been curious since the launch of VC:MP how they did manage to incorporate characters in the game controlled by other players across the world in a game that was designed to be single-player, with bots walking around pre-defined path. It really changes how we see GTA.

It's been a damn good ride, been here for a loooooong time, and although my grades have suffered because of it - i wouldn't trade anything for the experiences and people i've met playing SA:MP. Here's to another 7 years!

One could argue that he has/does! Perhaps not directly, but because of SA-MP itself people have learned a lot over the years; PAWN and other languages, web dev, computer-related stuff... the list goes on. Stuff that a lot of people never had much interest in and wouldn't have bothered learning before they found SA-MP - myself included.

I've been here from the start, I'd like to personally thank Kalcor for literally changing my life.

If it wasn't for sa-mp I'd never start studying computer science and I'd never get a job in the IT industry.

Also, sa-mp gave me the opportunity to meet so many amazing people of which a few I consider my friends.
