my same server is set in california but at the minute we only use la (Los santos) and would like to know if the laws i have set are ok
50mph in the City of Los Angeles
65mph on the country roads
90mph on the Highways of Los Angeles
what are they in real life

No road in Los Angeles or Los Angeles County is above 70mph, and there is only one road that is 70mph which is a freeway. Most freeways are 55-65mph due to the congested traffic. I would imagine nothing inside the city limits is above 40mph either. However, I doubt there will be hundreds of thousands of cars in your server like there is IRL. I would go with the following:
45MPH - City
55MPH - County
75MPH - Highways
That would be more realistic yet still gives you a little bit of slack with it being SA:MP.

Says it all there. To be fair there's no point making people drive at 45MPH if the city is empty.
