A very unlogical thing I see on the RP servers
#1

Well,at some rp servers,I'm not sure if it is on all, there is something very stupid called "faction cars"

Lets go to in real life,if you find a police car unlocked at real life, when you enter it some magical power won't eject you from it,you will go and drive it.

So lets turn back to the rp servers, these servers claim that they are "realistic" and define theirselves s "heavy rp" or whatever they do. The weird point is that, you see a parked car and when you enter it it says its a faction car, alright, maybe it might be locked or something (rp'ly) but what if the officer drove it and got out of it and forgot to lock it? But you still can't enter it because its a faction car.

So what I am trying to say is there should be a lock or unlock system on the cars (spawned cars will be auto-locked) when a faction member enters it it will get unlocked and when they step out of it they must lock it or someone can steal it away. Am I right or wrong?

Ps. I'm not a real rp'er tho, just speaking my mind here.

That's true, I don't actually do that in my script, the reason being is I don't want people getting into a Hydra and just shooting the rockets. I understand your point though, and it's a good idea to let citizens drive faction cars. It's something I might do in the future.

This is made for those "new" players who are searching cars and then just going to pick a Police "Faction" car and drive around.

I think it's a good system this prevents players to place a faction vehicle car all over the map.

You're correct!

On an RP server I play on, they allow citizens to drive around in faction cars, that's if the engine is on and the car is unlocked, I actually think that's a good idea.

"Heavy RP" isn't randomly stealing PD cars neither. Even if locked, you could still break the lock like it's in most RP servers, so it makes sense to restrict few vehicles as faction vehicles.

Am already doing that, but yeah I noticed it.

Agreed, RP servers always will have OOC restrictions. You don't randomly steal a police cruiser with no fear of being arrested just to drive to the General Shop. I slightly agree with this but the fact it's a roleplay server it doesn't mean it must be exactly as real life.
