Prison Role Play Suggestions

Hey there fellow SAMP goers.

I was wandering what everyone thinks about Prison Role-Play as a genre. I searched the forum and saw that many people saw them as boring and short-lived. I'm not too sure, but I had been a member of Soumi's Prison RP community, though it didn't receive enough support in the end and shut down. This, I think was the same for Raymond, and other owners. I've been going over in my mind as my friend/scripter works on implementing things into our server.

All i'm asking for isan honest opinion. What will make you log in to our server every now and again?

I've also got a few suggestions myself, if anyone wishes to compliment and help me out there:

*Escape system
*Golf Carts for guards (Some people get bored of not being able to drive)
*Different Jobs
*Prison Council (So people can report corrupt authority and also request things such as new furniture)
*Cell customization
*Objects/Toys (eg: Newspaper, Cryons, Glasses, Bandanas, Harmonica, etc)
*Purchaseable Stalls inside prison (So prisoners can run a sort of business if they get enough money), similar to "Get The Gringo" but stricter regulations and not Mexico.

I'm not sure what you guys think, but I'd love to hear any suggestions/feedback.

Not bad ideas from yourself. I would like to see a custom made prison, a lot of detail into it, as in real life.

I Just like those types, but all know they are short-lived, in my opinion; The Prison RP Server are just a cutted part from the Whole RP Server.

I must agree with BillyBoy, that Prison RP is Short-lived, but the time you first enter it till you quit you will probably have a good time exploring stuff.

It may sound unrealistic, but it would be cool if inmates could plant weed in their cells if or something like that. Not sure how that would work, though.

That makes sense. I was planning to do something like that, but how about awards? What would make it more enjoyable once the player has acquired a cell?

Well what if you could Customize your cell?
Like TV,
nicer bed,
its own house box to store items,
hidden rooms?
etcetera etcetera?

Add a coffee system, inmates deal packages of coffee for things like knives or gloves.

We plan to make purchaseable items for cells, and maybe dynamic rooms for VIPs or gangs.

Let me list up my opinions about the ideas of yours.

1. Escape System
Question: Where would the player go if they manage to escape?
My opinion: I think there should be a interior outside of the prison so that the player can hide and survive. Not only that, there should be a place to eat, buy items, etc.

2. Golf Carts for Guards
Question: The prison, would it be big with large areas? The inside and the outside.
My Opinion: If you're going to make a very big prison with large areas then I would say it's a good idea. Saying "They're bored" is not a good reasons though, you need a legit reasons on WHY they should have a vehicle to drive around.

3. Prison Council
Question: None
My Opinion: Never seen one, so I had to agree with this.

4. Cell Customization
Question: None
My Opinion: This would be nice, since there's a furniture system. They could get the items to decorate at the store or whatever you want to name that place.

5. Objects/Toys
Question: None
My Opinion: Agree. But please, don't let any player add something ridiculous on theirself like sphere, etc.

6. Purchaseable Stall
Question: None
My Opinion: Not a bad idea.

This is what I had in mind.

1. Inventory System - Player will be able to store their purchased items, foods, drinks, prison key, etc.
2. Looting System - Player will be able to loot items from other player. It will only works when they player is dead( Need Death Animation ).
3. Death Animation - [i]To gives effort to prisoners to loot items and efforts to the surgeon so that they can drag them to a stretcher and taking them to the surgeon room, then the injured player must insert a command to make them alive. After doing the command, they will be spawn on the bed inside the surgeon room.
4. Hunger and Thirst System - To gives effort to the foods and drinks business inside the prison instead of watching people go 'Huhaha' around without eating or drinking anything.
5. Bleeding System - When a player being beaten up multiple of times, getting shot or attacked by a knife, there should be a bleeding affect which it will decrease the player's health slowly until it reaches zero.

I think that's all I had in mind.

Those are some good ideas/suggestions Prince Derpness!

With the escape system, I mapped in a whole new area behind some of the cells which leads to a secret door and players can escape. I've said too much though. I was hoping that people would figure this out for themselves.

Thanks for the rest of the ideas though. I like the bleeding system, and might have it implemented as well as an inventory system where people can equip and/or use their selected items.

Once again, cheers for the ideas!

I'd be glad to hear any more that the community has to suggest.

Yeah, no problem. Can't wait for the BETA, I would like to test it out, maybe I could give more ideas by getting in game. Good luck with the project.

The beta is up at the moment. Check my signature.

It's only the map though, not many of the features are in it at the moment. We'll release more every couple of days.
