Router problem
#1

I have a problem with my router (Belkin N150 F6D4230-4 v1000). It restarts everytime when I download with higher speed (10 MB/s +).

Its data transfer rate is 150Mbps and I download with 11MBps (maximum), so this isn't the problem.

Well, Belkin is a shit brand. I can talk from experience. My old Belkin router would just redirect any url that contained the word "router" to the router interface. So if I would try to access www.routercenter.be (just an example) it would redirect me to the router interface. You can try contacting support, but I don't think it'll be of much use.

Yeah The brand Belkin isn't good. I'd recommend a Cisco or a Linksys.
I am using a Linksys for quite sometime. I never had a problem with it.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Is it under warranty?

I as well have always had issues with Belkin routers. Unfortunately, I have one right now due to how cheap it was when I got it and no other brand had the same features for even near the price.

Either way, if it's still under warranty I'd contact Belkin and have them replace it. Otherwise, learn from your mistakes and switch routers. In my experience, the newer Cisco and Netgear routers are fairly decent. Otherwise, go enterprise!

I've switch the router already, no more problems. The router isn't under warranty, so I can trash it ...
