People here will just come up with tons of other phones. Best is to read through different reviews for both models and then decide what fits your needs best.

The Go is a bit smaller than the J., both have the same processor power (2x1GHz) and about 500MB RAM.

I'd go with the Xperia GO, it looks nicer and the specifications are pretty much the same besides the 3.5" screen compared to the J's 4". But it's whatever suits you. All you're going to get here is other people's opinions and they aren't always right. The GO comes with Android 2.3 stock but can be updated to 4.0 ICS, which isn't much hassle.
