Another Unknown Crash Thread
#1

Hey,

I get this crash quite often, most often when there are cars being damaged/exploding near me. I think they first came up when I bought an ATI 6970 card.

Would be nice to have an explantion, why they happen and how to solve them...

You can search these addresses in ******. They're not new to SA-MP 0.3x. You would most likely have the same crashes in single player unless you changed your graphics settings.

I may attempt to fix this at some point. So far I haven't encountered the problem. As far as I'm concerned, it's something wrong with GTA:SA's compatibility with Windows 7, and not SA-MP.

Okay. It would be awesome if you could get it sooner or later.

As far as I know it helps to use a graphic-driver older than 2011 (for AMD), but this surely isn't an option. Setting "FX Quality" to "Low" in menu decreases the chance to get this crash, but they are still there.

It is indeed a problem with Windows 7 itself and has obviously nothing to do with SA-MP.
Try renaming your GTA:SA directory or reinstall the game into a new directory, not entirely sure whether it will work though.

You can right click "gta_sa.exe" and click "Properties". There you can find the "Compatibility" tab and when you are in that tab, just check "Run this program as administrator". Do the same for "SAMP.exe". Dunno whether it would work or not but trying won't hurt.
