So after 4 years i thought i'd try to run a server for 2 friends or so

Apparantly the server wont show up when trying to connect from outside to my direct ip

i have 7777 forwarded to my local ip 192.168.x.xx -> check (both udp/tcp)
i have samp-server.exe added in firewall for acceptance -> check

The server works locally,(127.0.0.1:777) fine
ppl from outside my home network just cant connect
they get connection lots


My thought is that something is wrong (duh)
Maybe samp-server.exe isnt broadcasting properly thus not activating the port going outbound

Why i think this is because when i run my source based server on the same local ip on port 27015 and go check on canyouseemee.org it appears as open etc

7777 for samp wont do that

The last thing i even tried was (closing everything including hl2dm server)

Change the port in samp server cfg to 27015 (wich validated as open) on 192.168.x.xx making it so it "should" work
Started the server -> Nope canyouseemee.org tells me its not open
the firewall popup that came i allowed and everything so it cant be that


im running the .exe as admin and nothing fancy really
tried disabling microsoft security essentials and wat not

Whatever i do it ends in no workie

Hopefully somebody will know what exactly is going on here

i can join 127.0.0.1:7777 (local) fine
friends cant join when i give them my external ip
that is the entire problem

download Simple Port Forwarding PRO VERSION you can easily get torrent with crack. Then follow the intrusctions in getting started and by the end of the intstructions it will check if the port is open then give ur external ip to others and it shall work.

Sometimes your antivirus program is blocking the ports for me that was the problem...I used eset nod32 antivirus and this comes with a personal firewall..If you too are yousing this here is the metod:Open the eset nod32 program--->Click on Setup--->Personal firewall------>And where it is written that enabled you can disable it for example 4 hours or infinitive,then you can check your server status at game-state.eu Hope i helped you

OK first. if you have port forwarded download port checker and check port 7777. If it gives you a green message than your port are forwarded. If it gives you a red message than the port are not forwarded. If the port aren't forwarded goto : 192.168.1.1 write your password and forward the ports, look some tutorial if you don't know how to forward them. After you forwarded your ports check again with port checker if you get the green message than you should give to your friend your IP not 127.0.0.1:7777. To get your IP you should search in ****** : what is my IP and after you get it, give to your friend your ip:7777.

port stays closed yet 1 friend managed to join (when the port appears closed even)
