Hey, I just downloaded SA MP and everything went smoothly, but before I start playing in servers, I just want to know, what are the best servers around.

I come from playing Halo PC, and one day I was looking at my friend's game server data on Xfire, and noticed he was playing multiplayer on SA. I was thinking to myself, '' how the hell is he playing multiplayer on San Andreas, I thought it only supported Single Player." So I researched SA MP, and found out you can play online so I decided to go to my uncles house and borrow his unused San Andreas copy that I remember seeing some time ago and play.

As a person who has been playing Halo Pc for years, I know all the known players, best servers, all the types of hacks ( not that I hack, but I'm aware how to spot a hacker, and all the hacks available ) so I was wondering if someone who has decent knowledge in SA MP , could aware me and sort of tell me '' whats what'' in this game.

NEVER join RP servers. They are plagued with snobby elitist people who couldn't cut it in the real world, so they waste their lives in a virtual one where they at least have some sort of status above "failed at life." They act like e-thugs, and transcend their characters into their IRL personalities.

Yeah, don't join an RP server and don't pay attention to anybody who is advertising an RP server in their signature. There are enough other game types to choose from that won't rot your brain and induce suicide.

"Best server" is of course subjective, so it'd be best to simply check the SA-MP server browser, sort by number of players and there you'll have a good idea of the servers that are doing well. Sadly most of them are roleplay and that is something I'll truly never understand.

Hopefully you'll find something enjoyable!

Just suss out all the 'Hosted Tab' Servers until you find the one that comforts your game play.

Everyone is gonna begin to advertise here? Anyways, Welcome to SA-MP. There are alot of different kinds of gamemodes you can play on SA-MP. Please people stop with never play roleplay servers shit. You can find all kinds of cool gamemodes on servers. I will name some.

Gamemodes:
Freeroam
Cops N Robbers
Roleplay
TDM, DM

Then we have alot of custom gamemodes built base on other games, movies, and other stuff. We're a really fun and creative community. Just search the hosted tab or Internet tab on the SA-MP window box and save the servers you like to your Favorites.

Just made me laugh. 3/4 of the SA-MP playerbase are under 18 and arent even ready to start a life for themselves, so you really think that they play Roleplay because, they 'failed in life' which hasnt even started? Dude, get lost.

Considering that I ran a fairly popular RP server for a year (100+ player average), I think I would know. Most of the biggest drama queens on the server were the people above the age of 18. Like this one 35 year old dude who lived at home home with is parents, and RPed 12+hrs a day. He thought he was gods gift to the world, but admittedly hadn't had a job in over 6 years, or the group we had to ban before I sold off the server. All above the age of 20, and most of them were again--self admittedly--HS/College dropouts. You'd be surprised, the people under 18 followed the rules more, and didn't walk around with this snobby elitist attitude. However, some of them were just as bad. Also, if their lives haven't started yet, then why are most of them on SAMP 12+hrs a day? Shouldn't they be at school? Nope, SAMP's playerbase is filled with dropouts, e-thugs, burnout loser "I'M A GANGSTA KIDDY, I SMOKE WEED ERRDAY!, and people who think virtual life is where it's at because again, they can't cut it in the real world. I stand by what I said about RP servers. It doesn't apply to everyone who plays on them though. Maybe I should have made that clear so you didn't have to show your ignorance to everyone here on the forums, like you claim I have. Should I get you a towel to cover it up?

Sorry Steven and Riddy, but you both have no idea. This is why the SAMP community is probably the one of the worst communities on the internet. Most of you are a bunch of snobs who think you know it all. Hence, you've proved my point. Didn't even need to do it on an RP server. You'll speak and say stuff when you have nothing but your own ignorance to base it on.
