Yet another different roleplay server idea
#1

Well, I just thought this one up.

For those who like DM and Roleplay, put them together. Roleplay a war in Afghanistan, using Bone County. There are platoons, ranks and other things. You can apply for different divisions and get ranked up by doing your job. You kill people by roleplaying it, and there are respawns, but you can't fight for a whole day. (recovering. you can do other things behind the frontlines, like sleep, eat, hang out with other soldiers, etc) You may also return home on leave, after a mission is complete. (Las Venturas, Los Santos.)

Soldiers that are not on leave would not be allowed to go there. There would be no money on the battlefield, just rations and weapons that are already available to each soldier, with limits. When fighting with the other team, there are no constant tanks and hydras and mayhem everywhere, everything is controlled and there will be only one or two big vehicles per team. Attacking isn't constant, you can attack the other team, say, 3 times per day for a certain time period. After that, the remainder of the team goes back to their base to do other things.

The odd time, not during an attack, a couple soldiers, or spies, or snipers can go out and take a sneak attack on the other team. (Only a couple soldiers allowed to do this!) Once a day, during one attack, a team can call in an airstrike, or helicopter assistance. (Helicopter assistance spawns a one-use hunter at the base that a pilot can use!) There are guard posts and patrols, patrols are groups assigned certain times to go out and roam the area, looking for anything suspicious.

Supplies with rations, weapons, and ammunition is airdropped twice a day with enough for every soldier on the team plus extra. Extras are kept in the cafeteria and the armory just in case.

Classes are assigned according to skills and specialties by the high ranking officers, or commanders. Classes would include: Soldiers, medics, pilots, spies, bomb specialists, heavy weapon operator, mission coordinators (high ranking only), guards, and patrol officers.

Just a small idea I came up with in ten minutes. >.>

Sounds good. But too many people would avoid RP and DM like most (10-13 y/o do) so it's half good half bad :P

Thanks, but I don't think so. I don't mean to be a dick, but I wouldn't trust what you say because of your signature. (A refunding godfather edit.)

Oh, and I'm 13 by the way. I don't act like that. (Age stereotypes these days....)

Roleplay and DM together, just do not simply work.

If you ever played US-RP or SARP - it's a different story. They work like bread + butter.

This idea crossed my mind several times and I wrote some plans for it, but soon realized this idea would only work with maybe 70+ people constantly.

It sounds like a good idea, but many of these scripts are scripted for huge playerbases. They are designed for 50 people to be on, and it doesn't work when there are only two on.
