LAN server lags?
#1

Hello all.. I am currently sitting in my school, thats why i can write this.

At home, i started scripting, and i would like to thank this forum for placing those "newbie guides" with the SAMP Wikipedia link, i have printed ALL the commands, its about like 250-300 pages, its enormeus.

Here is my problem.

I dont have internet at home currently, so i am scripting on my LAN server, but it LAGS like hell, or .. not like hell, but i have about 70-90 ping ALL the time, and i dont know why.

As i said, this is on LAN, so i should have about 0-5 in ping, but i have 70-90, so its impossible to test my commands etc.

Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

I would guess it is because of cpu usage on your pc preventing the network data from being sent as quick, or someone else on your network is using up most of the lan bandwidth (unlikely)

Is the server being run on your pc?

Yes sir, it is.

I am running the SAMP server on my laptop, and playing GTA SA on my laptop aswell, could that be the problem?

But noone is on my lan, other than myself.

It could be a problem if the samp server is eating up all of your cpu.

Try opening your server, and then press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and say what it says for CPU use.
