Linux Debain starting up server
#1

Hello.
I just bought and installed a linux debain 64bit 6.0 server at veriso.nl.
Everything works, I have unpacked the server03esvr from samp into my public_html map.
When I go there in my console, and use you cmd 'ls' I shows me all the server files correctly.
But will I try to start the samp03svr I tells me theres no suchs file or directory.
I use the cmd: nohup ./samp03svr
I'm 100% sure I'm inside the good directory because the 'ls' cmd works correctly and the samp03svr is inside of it.
I tried everything, gave the files rights, and even rebooted the system, it just won't work.
Anyone who also had this problems onces and can tell me a solution?

Thanks...

Hmm have you tried giving the samp03svr 777 rights ?

ls is to show all directories in files in the current directory that you're in.

You're supposed to 777 the samp03 on some VPS's/Dedis.

When you're done you're supposed

I think you start the seerver with ./NAME of file

I don't really like debain because I am not really experienced with it.

Your current directory should be 'samp03' and your file permissions should be set to 755 or 777, do 'cd samp03', set file permissions and then try running the samp server. Also don't forget to change your rcon password from 'changeme'.

Thanks for the response, but it wasn't the permissions, they where already said, It was because of the 64 bit version of debian, I had to run it as 32 bit, and now it works.
