You can get GTA 2 for free off of Rockstar's webpage.
GTA 3 would be my choice as it is better. Then again, GTA 2 has multiplayer.

GTA III is honestly not a bad game.
I also think GTA II is third person view, or birds eye view... unless that was GTA I
But yeah, I recommend GTA III

GTA 3 is really good. GTA 2 is not as good as GTA 3
