Battlefield 3 High/Ultra?
#1

Hi,

I'm currently playing Battlefield 3 on Medium as I'm dropping back to 20 FPS when playing on High, I'm getting a free brand new APU from AMD, and I was wondering if this would help my performance?

What I currently have;

Processor:AMD Athlon™ II X4 640 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
Memory:12288MB RAM
Video Card:NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450

And the processor I'm getting;
AMD A8-3870K Black Edition

Would this increase my performance or will it just stay the same?

Don't know about the GPU though, i have this setup and have about 30-50 FPS with medium:

AMD Phenom II x4 955 BE @ Quad Core 3.2ghz
8 GB DDR3-1333 RAM
AMD Radeon 6770 1GB

Is better passing to Intel & nVIDIA to get the best performance and graphic.

I'm getting this APU for free, so I was wondering if it's any better?

I am really stupid when it comes to CPU/GPU/anything of a computer, but if you want, my rig:

Processor:
Intel® Core™ i5-2320 CPU @ 3.00GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
Memory:
6144MB RAM
Video Card:
AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series

I'm getting like 40 FPS on Ultra, so I'm pretty sure GPU won't matter so much

If you get it anyways, why dont you just test it when you got it?
